ACTIVISM

From the grief of Lament for the Trees through the power and horror of Blue Whale (which uses the actual cadence of whale song) and This Power to the indigenous wisdom of People of the Earth, Jehanne’s approach to activism is deeply empathic – her voice becomes that of the trees (Lord in the Green), the drought-stricken Sierra de Maria, the Earth (Rain, These Latter Days), humanity in the wish to heal the wounds we have inflicted (Gift of Winter, Make My Peace).  And beyond that, she calls us to freedom and presence in Stop the World, authenticity in Emblem and to community in This Place, always with an unshakeable commitment to our awakened connection with the living body of the Earth.
